Chinook in NUS

Posted by otterman on 23 May 2008

Ladybug SMS-ed today. Passing by NUS Science on the internal and spotted police cars and some “slats from the sheltered walkway” which popped out.

But why police and not OED security? I figured Keropokman would have the answer, and indeed he did!

A Chinook had landed! Hop over for a very special photo of the day!

It was reported on ZaoBao (pg 7) that the chinook was used in the medical evacuation off a China-registered merchant ship. As the super pumas in Singapore are currently grounded due to the recent crash, chinook was used instead.

The ‘cheapest of 3 quotes’ glass panels were certainly not sound proof. LOL

That aroused our curiosity and even our boss went to check out the noise. :-)
