The results of data collection from today’s cleanup has been streaming in. Everyone has submitted data quickly and we have had it processed, verified and posted on the webpage’s results page.

At the same time, photos have been uploaded to the Habitatnews photo collection on Flickr:

Twitter has been useful in posting short news of data and photo updates, see twitter.com/coastalcleanup:

And of course, there has been the blogging of our experiences – comments invited from the organisers have been sent to posterous and with a little editing, most of the posts have been going up almost as soon as they are in at the ICCS blog at coastalcleanup.wordpress.com/

And all of this is anchored at the the ICCS webpage at coastalcleanup.nus.edu.sg

Hey Siva, you guys have got it all down pat! I have a lot to learn from you in managing NGO oriented activities and amassing significant grassroots support with the help of social media channels. There must be a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears behind this significant endeavour. Great job and keep the environmental flame burning (not the kind that emits CO2 though).
Ha-ha, thanks Walter. Yeah, blood, sweat and tears for sure and persistence. Also just small steps each year. Long way to go still.
