Very informative map! Looks like there’s a lot of work being done to clean up the shores and this does provide a good overview of what’s going on.

BTW, what tool do you use to create such a map? Google Earth?

Hi Wari, thanks. Yeah its a big operation with more than 3,000 people helping out. I now use Google Maps, easier for collaboration and sharing – click the image to see the map.

I’ve seen the map, and I’m impressed, I just want to know how you did the trail lines and the markers. You can edit google maps directly? Curious.

Yes, it’s quite easy to do; see this 3 minute step by step video guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TftFnot5uXw

Got it! Thanks. I know I’ve done MyMaps with a tool called MyTracks on the Android, but this is way better to be able to add icons, images and embeds.
