Ah, what I feared had happened when I saw your post late afternoon. If it could sway buildings as far away as Taipei, then those around the epicentre were in serious trouble.

No early reports at that time abt the situation in Sichuan, but the news has come in steadily since. So 2 major disasters in east/south Asia within a week of each other ..

I somehow just keep thinking abt the old women survivors of the Long March who were interviwed in Feet Unbound, those that went back to the province - I wonder how they are after this ....

My bus stop is: 18319 - Lower Kent Ridge Road - OPP SHEARES HALL
Heading to BV MRT.

I usually don't mind waiting and reading. But I will ask SBS to pre-empt the waiting of more than an hour during exam time! Especially when I saw four 95's drive past between 5.10-5.30pm, last Thursday when chatting with a student by the side of the road.

I think you should be using the same bus stop as me. Remember this two numbers! Always check before leaving your office. Or use mobile iris like me.

18309 - LOWER KENT RIDGE RD - COMPUTING SOC1 BLDG
18301 - LOWER KENT RIDGE RD - LIM SENG TJOE BLDG(LT 27)

If you know it will be packed and want to head to Buona Vista, walk to the U Hall stop.
18311 - LOWER KENT RIDGE RD - BLK S12

Yup, the above info is written on my whiteboard. LOL..

you are not the only one who was offered that 'service'.

we no longer visit this branch though it is nearer. if we have to go to this chain, we choose the one at Ocean Towers.

There were also lightning and thunder storms in the early hours of the morning with the skies heavy with rain clouds. Reminds me of a song I once heard:

Back in time with Louis XVI
At the court of the people he was Number One
He'd be the bluest blood they'd ever seen
When the king said 'hi' to the guillotine
The royal astrologer was run out of breath
He thought that maybe the rain would postpone the king's death
He look in sky but he look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
