I walked the streets of KL in the 80’s and 90’s in enough detail to give directions to locals but never once thought of cycling those streets. Now I finally get to do so in the safety of OCBC Cycle Malaysia 2013. Invited along by a friend in OCBC, I am looking forward to the 48km Challenge ride on the 19th of January 2013 which will be only the second time this event has taken place.
The three day event has an array of activities, and was postponed to the 18-20 Jan 2013 weekend due to the mass public gathering planned in KL the previous week.
With OCBC Cycle Malaysia promoting cycling in Malaysia, I am hoping accessible recreational cycling opportunities may open up for Singaporeans in the process. See “Keeping the family together by cycling,” by Lee Mei Li. The Star, 19 Dec 2012.
